This is a new recovery and innovative approach in reaching the Hispanic community that struggles with mental illness in a bi-lingual manner.

This is a safe and friendly support group for individuals living with mentally ill. This support group offers education and information on mental health and illness in a Bilingual setting.  Our goal is to empower members so they can gain insight and personal growth, learn new skills, and gain awareness for new options, learning healthy ways of coping with life.

The Group topics include:

  • What is Mental Illness and living with mental illness
  • Information and Referral
  • Problem solving and Goal setting
  • Journaling your thoughts
  • Motivation, advocated for themselves

Mental Illness and Family life

  • Consequences of  how has affected Low Self-Esteem
  • Better Self-Esteem

The Members also receive resources, activities and instruction on further nurturing self-esteem.

Members are encouraged to come to class regularly and participate in dialogue and take part in activities that enhance self-esteem.  Input, ideas and comments are welcome.  The environment is friendly and safe and interaction is encouraged.
