Computer Lab
The Career & Computer Lab is an educational and employment area of the Wellness and Advocacy Center where members are encouraged and empowered to focus on computer and career-building skills. Members also build confidence with expanding their knowledge of technology and personal goals and dreams.
The lab contains seven computers, where members are able to work on employment applications, resumes, cover letters, etc. In addition, they can complete online tutorials, become adept with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software, and enhance their proficiency of the internet.

More About The Computer Lab
On Mondays from 1:15 to 2:10 p.m., a “Computer Basics” group meets to learn new techniques that are helpful in operating a computer, and, on Thursdays from 12:15 to 1:10 p.m., a ”Career Development” group meets to discuss current employment opportunities. The lab maintains a “Job Board” with current job openings, workshops, and other vocational announcements.

Like the rest of the Wellness and Advocacy Center, the atmosphere of the lab is friendly and nonjudgmental, and it is open throughout the Center’s hours of operation.
